I didn't knock on enough wood!

Prevacid takes two weeks to take effect. Sigh. Celebrations were premature. He slept awful last night.

Nothing else to say other than this: like father, like son.

Alice in Wonderland?!?!? No! Amedeo in Sleepyland!!!

These little Prevacid pills seem to be magic. *knock on wood* Amedeo woke three times last night: 11pm, 1am, and 5:30am. Woo Hoo! I hope hope hope that it continues to get better and better. I don't care if he wants to wake up twice a night for the rest of his life...that's great!!! Everyone send A. happy sleepy thoughts for his next night on drugs.


To counteract the boredom of staying at home, we had a party and invited all of Amedeo's stuffed animals. This would be a good example of what not to put in the crib with a sleeping baby.

A mishmash of stuff

We're not sleeping much. He varies, but it seems that he wakes every 90 minutes now. We did another sleep log and are trying to refocus on doing the NCSS. Part of that plan involves making the daytime very predictable with naps. I'm getting pretty tired of that...staying at home is a little boring. Thank god for the internet.

Aside from that, I think some pretty cool things are happening.

• Amedeo has started babbling more...some of the ba ba ba sounds, which sounds more like talking than the cooing.
  
• He's sitting pretty well and seems to enjoy it.
  
• We got him to drink from a bottle! (playtex drop ins) It wasn't a huge amount of breastmilk, but I think in a pinch, it would work ok.
  
• He finally decided to take in some rice cereal. And today he had some oatmeal cereal. Woo hoo, fruits and veggies here we come!

Amedeo seemed to tolerate being in the pool. When I took him in the warm shower afterwards, he giggled and laughed. I guess he doesn't like the cold water...smart boy!

And, after the pool, we had some pizza!

He loves this pizza box. Talk about cheap thrills!!! It's still on our family room floor, not because we're filthy and lazy, but because he likes it...at least that's our excuse.


And, we hope to see more of this sleep stuff....all night long...maybe some day.

Our house is a pigsty, but I'd rather be blogging...

So, last week, we had some awfully cute babies come to visit and party!

Amedeo and Brooks...Brooks is taller...Amedeo has a complex now.

Then, Grandma came and took as many babies as she could.




Amedeo prefers the spoon to the cereal.



After the cereal, Amedeo practiced some Pilates. (Maybe he can teach mom some stuff.)
