Happy Weekend

We had a very nice weekend! Our goal these days is to be a normal family doing normal things. It seems like we've been stuck in the house because we didn't want to have a scene with fussypants in public. These last few weeks he was very fussy/grouchy. These pictures show the old Amedeo we know and love. He is so much happier than he has been. Let's hope it's a trend and he keeps getting more and more sociable!


Amedeo doesn't like pears. The funny thing is that his grandpa makes the very same face when he tastes something he doesn't like.

These were taken the night before we went to the hospital. He wasn't really cheerful, but we took some pics because it was the first date night Pietro and I had since he was born!

I like to think of this as his model face...I am too sexy for my shirt....

We were trying to trick him into eating sweet potatoes since he wouldn't allow a spoon near his mouth. We spread some on this lid, which he was content to chew. It's tough trying to outsmart a baby.

Here is Amedeo the week after he was in the hospital. Still not a happy fellow. We got him a highchair with the hopes that it might inspire him to eat more solids. Mostly it inspired him to smear more solids all over his body. But he is getting much better about eating cereal and sweet potatoes.

Here's Amedeo's old man with no teeth face. This is also right after we got out of the hospital. You can see that his face is a little thinner. Not too happy yet.

I think the lifeguards got up early and put ice cubes in the water just for us. It was COLD!!!

I am the cutest little boy EVER! And I'm HAPPY!
