'Twas a nice weekend. This weather can't be beat for the end of July! On Saturday, I watched Amedeo while Pietro went on a much needed bike ride. He came home sweaty and dirty and hopefully destressed. I drove over to Elkridge to look at tile without Amedeo. No luck...I'm going back to a place in Rockville tomorrow, since I saw some things I did like there...and this needs to be done ASAP.
We ate lunch and then headed out to the pool for a dip. I can't wait for Amedeo to talk in sentences, because I have a hard time understanding exactly what he wants to do in the water. Mostly he wiggles around and pushes me...and I try to figure it out. Do you want to get out? No. Do you want to go around in a circle? No. Do you want to go in the baby pool? Silence. Ah well. I love the pool...he took 2 naps, mostly due to the pool.
On Sunday, Pietro mowed the lawn and I took Amedeo for a walk. I discovered a new method to get him walking in the direction I prefer: throwing a tennis ball! He's almost exactly like a golden retriever. He goes and gets the ball, but then he'll throw it himself. If I get to it, I can get him to walk another 20 yards down the path. I guess it's a little faster than regular walking and stroller pushing. I got to go to JoAnn's to pick out some more patterns. We went out to dinner with my parents at On the Border. I'm not really impressed with their food...it's really salty. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said, "Yeah, other people have complained about that." Gee...I really don't want to go back there.
Onward with the bathroom project...and waiting for my fabric order. SOmetime soon, I'm going to do a garment post with the stuff that I've made this summer.

Okay, that exchange with the waiter is too funny. I've never been a huge fan of On the Border...and I LOVE salt! :-)
I've never been to On the Border, and really haven't had a desire to try it out. That clinches it...we won't be trying it out.
